The Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule, RWTH Aachen University, is with its 260 institutes and 9 faculties amongst the leading European science and research institutions. The cooperative project ELLI is based at the Institute of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA) and the Center for Learning and Knowledge Management (ZLW) at RWTH Aachen University.

The project ELLI is located in the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, more precisely at the Institute for Solids Process Engineering (FVT) and is conducted in close cooperation with the Professional Development Office (IFB).
