The Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule, RWTH Aachen University, is with its 260 institutes and 9 faculties amongst the leading European science and research institutions. The cooperative project ELLI is based at the Institute of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA) and the Center for Learning and Knowledge Management (ZLW) at RWTH Aachen University.

Ruhr-Universität Bochum

The campus of Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) hosts all major scientific disciplines – starting with engineering education, medical sciences and natural sciences, continuing with the arts and social sciences. More than 41.000 students from 130 countries are currently studying at one of the 20 RUB faculties. The project ELLI is located in the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering, more precisely at the Institute for Solids Process Engineering (FVT) and is conducted in close cooperation with the Professional Development Office (IFB).

Technische Universität Dortmund

The Technische Universität Dortmund teaches and researches in the area of conflict between nature, man and technology ever since its foundation in 1968. Its unique profile is determined by the interplay between faculties of natural sciences and engineering education as well as arts, social and cultural sciences. At TU Dortmund, the essential goals of the project ELLI are realized by creative trainings and a mobile learning research lab.
